Practice of cooperation between universities, local governments, and private companies for frailty prevention using "visualization of health data"

Abstract

Preventing frailty in the elderly is an urgent issue. The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare is requesting local governments to promote integrated implementation of insurance business and nursing care prevention using the National Health Insurance database. Kanagawa Institute of Technology has been commissioned by Atsugi City to carry out a frailty prevention class project as a nursing care prevention project. The project consists of holding frailty prevention classes for 3 years in each of the 10 districts in Atsugi City, and providing periodic functional evaluations related to locomotive syndrome and exercise guidance based on the three principles of frailty prevention, recreation, and lectures.
