Abstract
When vision impaired travelers walking alone cross road, they use the curb to find a border between sidewalk and carriageway. The difference in level created by curb could be useful for vision impaired pedestrians but problematic for wheelchair users providing physical difficulty to climb over. To lessen physical load of wheelchair users without sacrificing essential information for vision impaired, we have now designed curb-cut having multiple slope, namely I Evaluation of new curb-cut was made by measuring propulsion torque of driving wheel in comparison with presently used standard.curb-cut. As a result, it appeared that some of new multi-slope curve-cut was advantageous in many respects to present type curve-cut.
