Measuring blood pressure is one of the most important processes for evaluating hemodynamics. Some methods for measuring blood pressure are widely used, however there are few devices which can measure blood pressure of patients continuously and precisely without any invasive treatment. If the blood pressure can be measured on the skin continuously in real time, the information for safely detecting changes in hemodynamics of patients will be obtained. Therefore, a miniature-sized pressure sensor, which can measure blood pressure on the skin, was developed and experiments were conducted to reveal the utility of the newly developed sensor.
