High pressure vessels such as hydrocracker reactors, heat exchangers are utilized to oil refining facilities. Bolted flange joints for nozzle, manholes has been damaged due to long time material degradation and frequent open and closing operation due to replacement of catalyst, periodical internal inspection. This paper presents study on typical example of damages, evaluation and repair methods of flange joints and also status of standardization of those repair procedures.
