Abstract
The influence of damage or strain on piezoelectric signals from PZT particles in FRP was investigated. Piezoelectric powder was mixed into epoxy adhesive and three wovenfabric carbon sheets were laminated by the PZT mixed epoxy adhesive. The piezoelectric signals were obtained by hitting specimens during loading and unloading tests and consisted of the two peaks. The peak interval was related to applied load, On the other hand, the peak intensity was increased and the ratio of the second peak to the first peak was degrading with loading cycles.
