Doppler Effects in Plane Elastic Waves
Details
Doppler effects in plane SH-waves are discussed. Three types of the moving source are considered: (a) uniform motion, (b) back and forth motion, (c) rotation. Exact expressions for the anti-plane displacement are obtained. Numerical examples show that the high frequency components have the crucial role in the response.
