Abstract

This paper is concerned with the theoretical analysis of steady piezothermoelastic problem of inhomogeneous piezoelectric cylindrical panel due to nonuniform heat supply in the circumferential direction. The thermal, thermoelastic and piezoelectric constants of the cylindrical panel are expressed as power functions of the radial coordinate variable. We obtain the exact solution for the two-dimensional temperature change in a steady state, and piezothermoelastic response of a simply supported cylindrical panel under 'a plane strain state. Some numerical results are shown in figures.
