抄録
A new axial fatigue testing machine for high temperature tests is devised and constructed.
There are various types of fatigue testing machines applied for high temperature tests. These testing machines can be classified into three types according to the operating conditions, that is resonance type, half-resonance type and non-resonance type.
In the first and second type, magnification of the load amplitude can be obtained rather easily, but the magnification factor is affected largely by the test speed, then the speed control device becomes inevitably complicated one.
Based on these considerations, new testing machine is designed as non-resonance type to omit the fluctuation of the alternating load coming from the variation of motor speed.
Testing method of this machine is to apply the alternating load to the specimen by the crank mechanism of eccentric disc and one set of load spring, and static load by predeforming the same load spring before test. The load is known by measuring the deflection of this spring with micrometer-microscope during the test.
Therefore the general structure of this machine is very simple and the load is fairly accurate.
The capacity of the testing machine is as follows.
Maximum load 1000kg
Alternating speed 300-1600rpm
Test temperature room temperature-800°C
Some examples of the test results using this testing machine are showed in this report, but details of them will be reported later.
