Abstract
The mean serum sICAM-1 titer of 224 patients with gastric cancer was not different from that of 44 healthy controls. However, the serum sICAM-1 titer of patients with hematogenous metastasis was significantly higher than that of patients without hematogenous metastasis. The patients with a high titer showed a significantly worse prognosis than patients with low titer.
