Lens culinaris agglutinin A-reactive fraction of alpha-fetoprotein(AFP-L3)has been reported to be a useful marker in the early diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).The aim of this study was to clearify the relationship between the tumorous tissue level of the AFP-L3 and the clinicopathological factors.In the present study, there was no significant correlation between the AFP-L3 level in tumorous tissue and tumor size, histological grade, capsular invasion and serum level of the AFP-L3.
