Abstract
One variety of barley and two of naked barley collected from several prefectures of Japan were analyzed on their phytic acid content by the McCance's method, in which the author adopted the colorimetric determination of phosphorus by Gomori.
The phytic acid contents of pressed barley produced in various parts of Japan were also determined.Their values were very small, and almost the same as the values of polished rice.
