Abstract
The heat decomposition products of chlorophyll were separated by silicagel column chromatography, and a fraction giving Ehrlich's color reaction was isolated.
The substance was examined by chemical analysis, paper-hromatography and spectrophotometry and was supposed to be a pyrrole derivative, not to be pyrrole itself.
