Abstract
The unidentified complaints are conceptualized by T. Abe1) as a poor health status which is the individual's condition complaining a number of somatic and phychological items without any clinical syndrome.
The study reported here evaluated the unidentified complaints of 343 women college students in semi-urban area, Japan, on basis of a questionaire that considered socio-environmental factors known to affect the food eating behaviour.
The unidentified complaints were evaluated by means of a sleeping condition, smoking, using a sleeping pills, meal patterns and the individual's way of living related to food eating behavior.
The students who had uncomfortable sleep, emotional disability, frustration to their individual life and luck of meals frequently had more complaints. Although the unidentified complaints are affected by many socio-environmental factors, the food eating behavior may play the more prominent role in determining the unidentified complaints.
The better mental-physical health status appears to be affected by the better food eating behavior.
