Abstract
In the preliminary reports (J. Jap. Soc. Food & Nutr., 28, 343 (1975)), the cadmium content in Mutugoro meat was described as 0.09-0.12ppm in 1970 and 0.02-0.07ppm in 1974.
The present paper is concerned to cadmium and lead contents in Mutugoro meat fished in 1975 to 1977 in the Kawazoe Area of Ariake Bay and in the Moriyama Area of Isahaya Bay.
The Obtained results were as follows:
The cadmium in Warasubo muscle was found at the level of 0.14-0.227ppm in 1975 and 0.136-0.183ppm in 1977.
These level were higher than that of the Mutugoro's (0.03-0.05ppm in 1975 and 0.01-0.02ppm in 1977). But then, average value of Mutugoro muscle in 1970 was 0.102, and in 1977 it was 0.028ppm (Kawazoe Area of Ariake Bay). Cadmium concentration in Mutugoro meat was decreasing annually. The Lead concentration in Mutugoro muscle was found 0.08-1.04ppm in 1975 and 0.09-0.90ppm in 1977.
