Abstract
Studies on the bacteriological movements after administration of Midecamycin acetate (MOM) on the oral infections were performed by 23 institutes in this country, and the following results were obtained:
Of the 86 cases of infections in the oral cavity which were examined, 3/4 of them were suppurative infections and had rather good antibacterial activity against gram-positive bacteria and Bacteroides species. We used 238 strains of isolated organisms from clinical materials in our laboratory during June and October, 1985. We examined the antibacterial activity of MOM against 238 strains. MOM has quite good antibacterial activity against isolated anaerobes.
