Abstract

We present a case in which a compound odontoma was found on E resion which disturbed the eruption of a permanent second premolar in a ten-year-old girl.198412251. The case was diagnosed as compound odontoma based on histopathologic and scanning electron microscopic investigations.198412252. The site of occurrence, at the maxillary premolar region, is rare for compound odontoma.198412253. After surgical removal of the odontoma, a space regainer was set and 5 erupted successfully to its normal position after eight months.
