When plasma physicists want to use atomic data in their research, it is useful for them to have data books or database where the atomic data are compiled. The atomic database have been developed following the data needs by the scientists in the filed of laboratory and astrophysical plasmas. We review the present status of the databases available, and discuss the data needs for the future database.
