This paper is concerned with a measurement of current dinsity distribution in a coaxial plasma gun.
A dip appears in its total discharge current at a certain time in its first half cycle. On the other hand, magnetic probe observations show that a pinch of the discharge occurs in front of the center electrode, then the current is cut off. This time coincides with that of the appearance of the dip in the tota_??_ current.
Mather reported on the plasma focusing in front of the center electrode. This is the identical phemomen-on with the pinch of currents in this paper.
