The possibility of confining the plasma by the toroidal Heloiotron P field (T.H.P. field) is studied preliminary. The plasma with ion temperature of 20ev, and electron temperature of 5 ev, is axially injected into the avobe field through a small aperture limiter with 15 mm diameter.
The radial density profile, the over-all decay time of plasma density and the end flow are measured for some typical configurations of T.H.P. field.
T.H.P. field shows the good effectiveness of plasma confinement than Holiotron. C field. The confinement time is about 15 times as large as Bohm time.
