Abstract
Gas metal arc welding process is an ind ispensable technology in various industry. Consumable wire electrode is used in the gas metal arc welding process, the metal transfer phenomena are involved. The properties of the metal transfer phenomena, such as the droplet size and the transfer frequency, are closely related with the quality and the stability of the process, and it should be controlled appropriately. In this manuscript, an outline of the simulation model of the gas metal arc welding process is shown. Both the arc plasma phenomena and the metal transfer phenomena are focused in the model, and the model includes their interaction. Some simulation results are shown, and governing factor of their phenomena is discussed.
