In hemiplegic stroke patients, rehabilitation is started early in the onset. Walking exercises using a knee-ankle-foot orthosis are performed in patients with severe hemiplegia, but conventional knee-ankle-foot orthosis knee joints cannot be adjusted for the extension range of motion of the knee, or require a tool to adjust the angle. For example, there are many cases in which the lower limbs of hemiplegic patients with limited joint range of motion are painful to wear and require time to put on. Based on the above, we have developed a knee joint that enables angle adjustment and fixation without tools.
