Abstract
We investigated changes in the formation of a maternal sense before and after childbirth delivery in pregnant women after infertility treatment. The questionnaire forms collected were divided into subjects aged less than 30 years (group AF) and subjects aged 30 years or more (group BF). And the control group was divided into subjects aged less than 30 years (group A) and subjects aged 30 years or more (group B). In regards to the subject of affirmation for motherhood formation, the score was lower in the group AF than in the group A both. Regarding MB, there were significant differences in the positive rate and the score between the groups A and B, and between the groups AF and BF. Compared with the group A, the group AF had no significant difference in the positive rate, but had a tendency toward a higher rate. Regarding postnatal depression, there were significant differences in the positive rate and the score between the groups A and B, and between the groups AF and BF. In this investigation, the group of subjects aged less than 30 years who became pregnant by infertility treatment showed a delay in the formation of maternal sense, and it was suggested that this group may be a group at high risk of maternity blues or postpartum depression.
