Abstract

We investigated the individual characteristic personalities and life events to search for the backgrounds of unexplained physical symptoms of middle age women. A total of 49 women was received the egograms(TEG) test and the life events analysis introduced by Holms & Rahe was performed at the same time. In TEG the type of N(I am not OK, you are OK) was most frequent(26.6%), and FC low level type was 14.3%, flat type was 12.2%, U type was 10.2% respectively. In the life events analysis we found several items such as hard works of agriculture, troubles in sexual life, personal illness, unfittness of family, economic troubles were important factors responsible for the appearance of unexplained physical symptoms. The appropriate bio-psycho-sociological multifocal analysis is very important and necessary to evaluate various unexplained symptoms of the middle age women.
