Abstract
RIKEN BRC promotes the resource project of Arabidopsis, plant genetic materials and plant cultured cells by National Bioresource Project. We pay much attention to the reliability, variety and internationality of our services. We preserve approximately 80,000 materials and have distributed over 5,000 materials to the world. Currently, we focus our efforts to prepare materials for wild type Arabidopsis and plant full-length cDNA clones. Moreover, we are going to establish novel techniques for the development and characterization of plant resources. The techniques will be available for public through the collaborative research or training service. We also intend to provide the information of resources through collaboration with other resource institutes. Our service on the materials, techniques and information of plant resources will help researchers to promote plant post-genome research.
