Abstract
Chloroplasts move to suitable position depending on environmental light-condition. The chloroplasts gather towards weak light and avoid from strong light. These phenomena are called as a chloroplast relocation movement. Phototropin family acts as a photoreceptor for the movement in not only Arabidopsis but also fern and moss. According to inhibitor studies, the chloroplast movement might be mediated by the actomyosin system. When actin filaments were labeled in transgenic plants introduced by GFP-mTn or GFP-AtFim1ABD, dynamics of the actin-filaments were observed. Recently, Some elements for the light signaling in the chloroplast relocation movement were identified so far.
We will introduce recent findings in the chloroplast relation movement.
