Abstract
Various problems such as educational problems, social problems and ethical problems arise as a result of the recent progress of science and technology.
In this situation, the importance of science communication is pointed out. Science communication generally means to show information about science and technology to society and to share it with society. In fact, there are various science communication activities, most of which are one-way transmission of information about science from specialists to non-specialists.
However, there is the need of the public participation in science to solve the social and ethical problems. Now the two-way communication between society and science is needed, especially scientists themselves need to proactively provide the public with information about science and technology, and learn from the public.
We will show the history of science communication and our practice "Genome Square," and would like to discuss the importance of two-way communication in science.
