Abstract
It is estimated that nitric oxide is produced and has functions during defense responses against pathogens in plant cells and has a function in signal transduction. S-nitrosylation is one of the post-translational protein modification which is caused by nitric oxide and regulates the protein functions. The identification of S-nitrosylated proteins during plant defense responses is important for elucidation of signal transduction mechanisms mediated by nitric oxide. In this research, we detected S-nirtosylated proteins in GSNO treated potato leaf extract by using biotin switch method. S-nitrosylated proteins were purified and analyzed in mass spectrometry.
