Abstract
Recently, we developed system named Full-length cDNA Over-eXpressor (FOX) gene-hunting method in order to promptly and efficiently search for useful phenotypes. Using this method, we generated more than 20,000 rice FOX Arabidopsis lines using 13,000 rice full-length cDNAs.
Thereafter, in order to enable the efficient use of the extensive data on mutant lines, we systematically classified these phenotypes on the basis of our observations, and created a database (RIKEN Rice FOX Line Database), which can be used to search for various criteria. In addition, we mounted the function to express the results of clustering/heatmaps obtained with the R software and several clustering and distance methods. We hope that this database and function will contribute to advances in research on rice and other plants. This study was supported by Special Coordination Funds for Promoting Science and Technology.
