Abstract
In land plants, there are many Oxylipins, which synthesized from α -linolenic acid has been identified. It has been reported that has original function not only to activate signal compound but also to enhance stress tolerances like Jasmonic acid (JA). In biosynthesis pathway in JA, two kinds of enzymes (LOX, AOS) were mediated. And some differences in substrate specificity of enzyme activity (9 or 13 oxidation) has also suggested. There are Both 9- and 13- specific enzymes in one plants are common cases. But in Arabidopsis thaliana there are one AOS and 6 LOXs were detected, but their 9-AOS enzyme activity remained to be elucidated. To clear the correlation between the substrate specificity and the enzymatic activity of Arabidopsis AOS, we use the AOS inhibitor JM-8686. And we analysed 9-AOS activities in Arabidopsis.
