Abstract
The large lunar explorer "SELENE" will bring a massive data-set (20TB) to the Earth. Because this quantity prevents from our crater counting, more faster processing and less care algorithm have been longed for. This study focuses on finding craters on DTM (Digital Terrain Model, topography). Here we display developed algorithm and its implementation for automatic extraction of craters. Verification results with Martian topographic data and remained problems are explained in poster session.
