Abstract
Some employees were infected with COVID-19 and were urgently admitted to our hospital. We addressed patient admission in accordance with the Business Continuity Plan, as necessary, thoroughly applying measures to prevent nosocomial infection, suspending all outpatient treatment, investigating persons with whom infected patients had been in close contact, and establishing an emergency command system for dealing with the mass media. It is critical to maintain the organizational structure, finalize the Business Continuity Plan, and consolidate business taking scalability and flexibility into account, as well as establish a response system corresponding to the existence of multiple states of emergency, to determine how to share the sense of crisis with the whole organization right from the preparation and planning stages. While differences in the scale and circumstances of medical institutions exist, further preparedness is required to treat the COVID-19 infection as an issue for all medical institutions and to share crisis awareness.
