Abstract
The Japanese Red Cross Society is working initiatively on infection control systematically. In the 92 Red Cross Group medical facilities around Japan, we thoroughly implement infection control regarding nosocomial infection measures. The Infection Measure Section of Headquarters provides prompt support for infection control to concerned facilities, and also share information and forward communization about those infection control methods to all Red Cross medical facilities. By utilizing group advantages, we have developed a system to discuss issues related to infection control, and at the same time, promoted appropriate, quick, and effective infection control. In response to the recent coronavirus infection (COVID-19), we cooperated with an infection measure special task force consisted by various members well versed to infection control, and this made it possible for us to instantly corresponded and discuss about COVID-19 vaccine-related information and to share medical facilities’ experiences. The Infection Control System at Group Headquarters is the key point for group cooperation, such as to share information and experiences by taking advantage of the group's merits. It also plays an important role within the group organization, in various planning, consultation, and human resource development regarding infection control.
