Abstract
In this paper, the static characteristics of WBFW (web bolted flange welded) type beam-end connection and the bending strength at the web connected part of this type connection were investigated by FEM Analysis. Parameters are the disposition of high strength bolts at the web connected part and the depth-to-thickness ratio of SHS column. Analytical results show that the bending strength at the web connected part becomes bigger by the decrease of the depth-to-thickness ratio of SHS column and the increase of number of high strength bolts at the web connected part. The disposition of high strength bolts at the web connected part and the depth-to-thickness ratio of SHS column give large influences on to the static behavior of the bolted joint at the web connected part.
