This study focuses on the energy absorption performance of high-strength bolt friction joints with slit-shaped bolt holes. We examined the joints with different friction surface treatments at different loading velocities. As a result, we found that the energy absorption performance obtained by different friction surface treatments varied greatly. We also found that the difference in loading speed has a significant effect on the sliding behavior of joints with hot-dip galvanized friction surfaces.
