Abstract
The various profitable function of rivers have been appreciated in recent years. We investigated the present state of streams and brooks in Aizu-wakamatu city. Firstly we surveied present state of the streams and brooks and then made figures of landscape around them. The flow speed and temperature were mesured, and the BOD and COD were examined preliminarily. As the results, it was appeared that the streams and brooks had worthfull landscape and then they could play an important role in development of civic living environment in this city. And it is also important that citizen keeps on interest in the development of living environment.
