Abstract
This report is an investigation about the situation of streams and brooks in Aizu-wakamatsu city, mainly Kuruma-river, by survey, interview, and reference materials, and a study about potential their role in development of civic Living environment. As the result of investigation it was appeared as follows : (1) devices use natural features. (2) equipment to control stream. (3) various use of streams and brooks. Take account of the results, it is found that they are important for follows : (1) dev elopment characteristic city. (2) provide enviroument of water. (3) help to encourage conmlunity and culture.
