Abstract
Two experiments for aiding consideration on the role of constraints in creative design process are presented here. The first experiment was done for seing how creative ideas were generated in condition of design for different purpose with the same material. The second experiment was done for seing how creative ideas were generated in condition of design for the same purpose with different materials. From the results of these experiments, the author asserts that the appropriate constraints in design process can facilitate the generation of creative ideas, and if we find out what is the appropriate constraints, we will be able to control the creative process of design.
