Abstract
In this paper the author's principal aim is to present activities of Kuwasawa Yoko in 1930's. We examined the magazines "I SEE ALL" "JUTAKU" and the autobiographies of Kuwasawa. In 1933,she was educated in composition at "Sin-Kenchiku-Kougei-Gakuin" that Kawakita Renhichiro established. Thereafter. Kuwasawa became a member of the edi-torial staff on "l SEE ALL"JUTAKU". By this experience, Kuwasawa gained knowledge of new design and architecture. In those days, Kuwasawa became conscious of rather functionalism of architecture design than fashion design.
