Empirical research on promotion of design management in Iwate Prefecture

Abstract

IIRI DESIGN LAB promotes design managements.According to our survey of companies in Iwate prefecture, few companies are committed design management. We practiced two approaches with companies as a methods of introducing design management. Co-creation with design personnel (external approach). Utilization of design thinking (internal approach). We have verified that both approaches are valid. We will accumulate and verify research results to create a support program for design innovation of companies.
