Abstract
Comparing software products and hardware products. software products are easy to fit user's needs. We verify a validity of the process for software products (e.g. document storage system) as followed : 1) make an investigation of a user's information processing 2) make a model of typical information processing flow 3) from the model, decide a specification of product 4) make a simulation model based on the specification 5) check the validity of the simulation model by a focus group Through the researeh project named "Knowledge Board", we judged the proposed process worked well.
