Abstract
In the modern life, functions of railway station have been developed into terminal and transfer area in order to fulfill user's demands. Thus the complexity of boarding routes is different when using the different route even in the same station. This research was focused on the route for boarding, and has approached from the viewpoint of Information Theory. As the results, the complexity has to analyze not only the factor of entropy but also that of the sum of changing in angles. Accordingly, 1804 boarding routes of 89 stations in Tokyo were analyzed. And the coefficient of complexity was found to determine the complexity of routes. And it would be concerned as helpful method to evaluate boarding route in railway station.
