Abstract
Recently, interests in the living environment of a city are increasing in Korea. Urban Environmental Equipments (UEE) interact with people directly and have an important role in make the image of a city. A systematic research on UEE is needed. First, the concept of UEE is studied by literature surveys and field studies. Seoond, based on systems theory, the conceptual model of systematization of UEE design is proposed. And important factors are investigated through interviews and field researches for revising the proposed model. Current status of UEE, authorities, manufacturers, and users are studied. Finally, a systematization model of UEE design is presented by revising the conceptual model with findings of field studies.
