Abstract
This study aims to propose daily necessities using by-products of Amehatashinseki ink stone in Hayakawa-cho for succession and practical use of Amehatashinseki as the local identity and the regional resources.
The study was based on Kenshouan, the ink stone museum in Hayakawa-cho. It reveals that people of the area don't understand the importance of Amehatashinseki as the local identity and the regional resource. And it reveals there are a lot of useless by-products of Amehatashinseki ink stone.
Products are proposed as examples that people of the area can make and use easily, for example, pen stand,CD stand, card stand, string tie, flower vase ,plate and so on.
