Abstract
The series of historical study aims the evolutionary process of the National Geographic from the editorial design viewpoint. National Geographic, a prestigious magazine in the world, features high quality photography contents/articles. Advertisementis an important structureas well as editorial articles since advertisement brings revenue.
The survey was conducted on the hypothesis that the relation between trends of lifestyle may be informed by investigating the advertisement appeared on the National Geographic back numbers in the period of 1886-1996.
This article shows the analyzed result of the research on editing policy keeping, influence from world economic situations and advertiser characteristic.
