Pictogram Designing for the purpose of Mutual Transformation into Natural Language Sentences

Abstract

We have been researching and developing to help mentally disabled people learn about disasters and how to escape dangers. In this paper, we design a pictogram set and conversion rules between natural language sentences and pictograms. One reason for the difficulty of automatic conversion is the lack of an established grammar for pictograms, we propose the concept of Picture Sentence, which expresses syntactic information by relative position and size.
