Abstract
In our present society, people have formed the consumer  society pursuing efficiency and convenience. Many regions in the world  confront the consequential problems, such as disregard of people's  communication, and dilution of the relation between nature and people.  This research takes up anew "Diet" which is one of the essential  components of our life and extracts the design elements for our social  innovation. First, the author structured "the element of a fertile living"  based on GNH. Based on the field survey carried out thrice from May  2010 to April 2011, conducting the in-depth interviews and collection of  data related to the region’s traditional dietary culture and public opinions,  the author identified "the indicators of the designing a living with dietary  culture." The paper concludes that they are closely associated with "the  elements of a fertile living", and the supporting major factors.
