Abstract
The objectives of this study are to visit hands-on exhibits of museums in the United Kingdom to gather ideas for palliative care techniques. Such ideas can improve the quality of life by making use of various effects that can be brought about through touch, with a focus on the effect of touching 'Active Art'. In the British Museum, there are hands-on exhibits in which we can touch an ancient stone implement and accessories or coins. In the Victoria and Albert Museum, we can have many actual experiences such as touch, listen, wear, and use objects. In the Natural History Museum, there are touch screens, devised handles and buttons. Hands-on exhibits in these museums have many important elements of touch movement for 'Active Art'.
