Creating an Environment of Events from Way of Use in an Urban Square

A Case Study of Grand Plaza in Toyama City

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to reveal the actual condition of the support and operation for the Grand Plaza Toyama. This study fouces the actual usage of events create an environment in the urban square. Methods of survey are 1)interview with city officials and supporters who related to create the square and events and 2) organizing the event data of the last three years. As a result,this study shows findings of some typical ways of actual use and an event environment by a support sysytem from the analysis.
