Abstract
In this study we'll examine the feasibility of an alternative co-design approach, based on the experience we gained from two recent local community projects: ‘Land and Human Design Project: Designing a Banquet from Scratch’(Nagoya University of Arts) and ‘Shiba+Mita Magazine Lab’(Shiba-no Ie Community Centre). The design approach we took was very different from the traditional goal-focused approach. Through this study we'll outline our suggested approach and illustrate how the key elements of the co-creation process, ‘space’, ‘motivation’ and ‘aim’ are evolved.
