The sign system from indoor emergency exit to an outdoor evacuation site.

Abstract

This paper proposes a new universal design method in the time of disaster.
We call it RGSS, refuge guidance sign total system.
A key idea is the continuity of the sign to guide people at the time of refuge.
Pictogram is attached to various products and we recognize that it achieves continuous effects.
Therefore we made the matrix of the RGSS.
Usability of our RGSS has been confirmed through some social experiments.
We hope it will become the de facto standard that is available to anyone around the world.
